What Are The Treatments For PTSD
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) may develop following a highly stressful, frightening, or distressing event, or after enduring prolonged trauma.
PTSD symptoms can profoundly affect daily life, causing a range of physical, mental, and emotional challenges. These may include hypervigilance, intense anger and fear, panic attacks, flashbacks and nightmares.
The primary treatments for PTSD include specialised talking therapies and, when appropriate, medication. At Blue Light Minds, we focus on trauma-focused therapies like CBT and EMDR.
